We live in a sharing culture, but in a such crowded music web magazine marketplace it’s hard to tell what’s true personal recommendation and what’s sponsored promotion. Started by experienced music journalists, Mike Mauger and Anna Martinovich, we at Ear Nuggets pride ourselves in staying true to our roots in everything we do. You can rest assured that all of the original content you’ll find here is as genuinely independent as anything out there. Each contributor is given free rein to feature and share the music, artists and events they personally love, regardless of genre, and nothing more. Our writers and photographers consider this space as their own musical diaries and we are always excited to share with you what we’ve been listening to and seeing.

So poke around and see what we’re all about. We’ve got full concert galleries, free downloads and streams, concert reviews, your occasional interviews, ticket giveaways and so much more. Check out our staff below and click around to see what they’re into. And of course, follow us across out social media platforms:

mesiteMike (Editor Emeritus), a freelance music journalist in the Philadelphia area has had his writing and photography featured on numerous musicand legal blogs, and used for digital promotions by national touring artists and venues. His musical tastes seem to change with the winds, but he’s steadfast in his love of funk, jam, electro-soul, and hip hop. He also has a tendency to ramble on about the business and legal sides of the music industry because, well, he’s also a law student. Go figure.

Conor Clancy is a freelance Music & Portrait Photographer currently based in Philadelphia.  Currently, his favorite type of music is “cinematic pop” (at least that’s how it was last described to him)–– essentially an amalgam of rock, new wave, and good hooks with a good synth mixed in.  Conor has no shame in his obsession with ABBA.  He returned to Philly after shooting for artists in New York City and Los Angeles.  Conor’s favorite record store is his parents’ basement.
