Charleston, SC based Americana rock group Dangermuffin will be taking the stage at World Cafe Live this week in support of their latest release, Heritage.
Band members Dan Lotti (guitar, vocals), Mike Sivilli (guitar, vocals), Steven Sandifer (upright bass, percussion, vocals) and Markus Helander (drums) all share a common bond of family, which they feel extends into all those fans and music lovers who hear their music.
Blends of inspiration from the mountains of Appalachia and the ocean provide the band with plenty of material to make their genre-bending songs evoke a natural spirit in all who listen.
Hailing from the southeastern coastal city of Charleston, it comes as no surprise that Dangermuffin brings breezy, laid back sounds that are extremely easy on the ears. With inspiration coming to them in the forms of bands like The Wood Brothers, My Morning Jacket, Bob Marley, The Grateful Dead, and John Prine – Dangermuffin‘s newest work will take you places you’ve never gone before.
Fans of folk, rock, reggae, and jam – this album is for you!
Check out their single “Ancient Family,” and then go see them this week!
Dangermuffin will be supported at World Cafe Live by their Charleston brethren Dead 27s.
