Ah, Thanksgiving. There’s nothing like the end of the month of November to bring about those sentimental reminders that the holiday season is upon us! This time of the year means football, friends, delicious meals, family gatherings, and trying to avoid talking about last year when somebody got a bit too into the whiskey. Additionally, it means one of the biggest party nights of the entire year, the night before Thanksgiving!

Not sure how to celebrate? There are plenty of places in the Philadelphia area where you can be merry – with music!

Just a short drive from the city in the suburb of Eagleville, our friends in Catullus will be raging at the Eagleville Tavern. As is their tradition, they will be exploring the diverse catalog of The Beatles, this year playing Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Information Here.

Moving closer to the city, the wonderful folks at the Ardmore Music Hall will be celebrating with their Friendsgiving Jam with another favorite – Old Soul Revival. OSR will be playing tunes from the Allman Brothers Band, opened by The Group (members of the AMH staff, Swift Technique, and friends) performing the songs of The Band! In the spirit of giving thanks, entrance will be FREE and food donations are welcomed.

If you don’t want to leave the city, don’t fret! Locally based jam rock band Long Miles will be hosting their 7th annual Thanksgiving Eve bash at the Field House in Center City. Known throughout the East Coast as a band that can seriously throw down, they’ll be rocking all night.

The possibilities are there and anywhere you go will surely be a great time! Please be safe this holiday season and rage properly! Don’t drink and drive and don’t give people weird looks as they dance their night away!
