The fall of 2016 is shaping up to be absolutely monumental in terms of albums, fall tours, and themed shows. The whole world of music is erupting with new content and we couldn’t be happier. Here are a couple of things that should be, uh, pretty neat..

First, the Phish from Vermont has announced the official release date for their newest album, Big Boat.

If you haven’t heard of the Phish, I suggest giving them a listen. They’re really good.

In more local news, Moe. has announced the theme for their Halloween run (October 28 & 29 at the Fillmore) in this, well, slightly entertaining video..

Quentin Tarantino films? Say no more. I’m hoping that the set is Kill Bill & Pulp Fiction heavy.. but hey, anything works.

Shying away from the jam band hype that our site is fond of promoting.. Project Pabst Music Festival will be held at the Electric Factory on October 8. The lineup is stacked with some serious alternative rock and indie bands including Guided By Voices, Hop Along, Animal Collective, Mac Demarco, and Diarrhea Planet among others.

Tickets are reasonably priced. Seriously. The price is almost as delicious as the beer.

Other heavy hitters making their way through town include Papadosio‘s fall tour, featuring one set of ALL IMPROV and Umphrey’s Mcgee taking the Fillmore by storm for 3 nights.

And we saw Khruangbin last night at Johnny Brenda’s. That was tight.
