Among the most exciting and energetic punk rock bands in the US today, Atlanta’s own The Black Lips will be bringing their brand of garage rock through the Union Transfer next Tuesday, May 10.

The Black Lips have been steady gaining national recognition as one of the best acts in punk. Comprised of Jared Swilley on bass, Jack Hines on guitar, Cole Alexander on rhythm guitar, and Joe Bradley behind the kit, with the lot of them contributing on vocals, the band is starting out on their extensive international tour planned for May all the way into July.

In what could best be described as psychedelic punk rock, Black Lips will definitely keep the crowd moving and grooving all night. Fans of Violent Femmes, Ty Segall, Mac Demarco, and Parquet Courts (who will be playing at the Union Transfer the next night) will love this band.  Nothing like rocking out with a fun band to celebrate the beginning of summer. Kick it with Black Lips next Tuesday.
