So we should probably talk about this whole Day of the Dead track list announcement, right?

For those of you who haven’t seen or heard about this project orchestrated by Aaron and Bryce Dessner of The National, Day of the Dead is a three part, 59-track playlist featuring over 60 artists.

Earlier this year, a couple of the featured artists and the names of the songs they would be covering were leaked. Today, the full track listing was released and it is astonishing!

Featured artists include Kurt Vile (The War On Drugs), J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), Courtney Barnett, Charles Bradley, Bruce Hornsby, The Flaming Lips, Mumford & Sons, Jenny Lewis and many, many more. This is truly something to be pumped up for!

Day of the Dead is set to be released May 20 of this year in a 5 CD set, digital, and limited edition vinyl formats.
