Railroad Earth – The Sherman Theater – Stroudsburg, PA – 11/27 & 11/28
If you’re itching to get your bluegrass fix, look nowhere else than jamgrass all-stars Railroad Earth. RRE is returning to the Sherman Theater for their annual Horn O’Plenty weekend. Why not cap off your Thanksgiving holiday with two nights of bluegrass? Sounds like the perfect weekend! Especially when Gov’t Mule keyboardist Danny Louis will be joining the band on Saturday! (Bonus points if you bring non-perishable food items – the venue is collecting for the less fortunate this holiday season.)
Dark Star Orchestra – Penn’s Peak – Jim Thorpe, PA – 11/25
As the saying goes, “There’s nothing like a Grateful Dead show.” Well, Dark Star Orchestra is pretty freakin’ close!
Widely regarded as the quintessential Grateful Dead tribute act, Dark Star Orchestra, will be bringing their annual Thanksgiving Eve show back to Penn’s Peak. Make sure you bring your dancing shoes because these guys will get you moving! Also, if you don’t make it out to Penn’s Peak, that’s ok! DSO will be doing two nights this winter at the Electric Factory for their Cosmic New Years celebration.
American Babies – Ardmore Music Hall- Ardmore, PA – 11/25 (21+)
Roots/Americana rock group American Babies will be playing a Thanksgiving Eve bash at the Ardmore Music Hall. Lead by Tom Hamilton (also of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Billy & The Kids fame), this show will surely be a party. Special guests Aron Magner (The Disco Biscuits) and Tom McKee (Brothers Past) will also join the band. Philadelphia: If you’re staying local don’t miss out!
George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic – Ardmore Music Hall – Ardmore, PA – 11/27 (21+)
