Robert Delong has been “making us fucking dance” since his debut with Global Concepts in 2012. And just last week (3/21), Sean Glass dropped his premiere song as a producer – an upbeat, disco remix of Robert Delong’s “Long Way Down.”

The remix debuted on KCRW DJ Jason Bentley’s Metropolis show and has since risen in popularity, becoming the number one song posted in blogs (Hype Machine).

Though this is his first produced mix, Glass is far from new to the music scene. He founded his own label, Win Music (2013), with signed artists such as Duke Dumont. Not only has he played at huge festivals like EDC, he even worked with Heineken to stand up the new Heineken stage at Coachella and leads the stage’s programming.

We’ll definitely have to keep an eye out for his upcoming tracks.

Go ahead and check out the remix, then dive into the completely amazing range of sounds throughout Delong’s latest album, Long Way Down (2014). But maybe go ahead and listen to the others too. “Global Concepts” remains an often-played and personal favorite.

Based in Los Angeles, Delong is well known for his comprehensive live mixes – using a keyboard or drums to a laptop and game controllers. His solo act is unique, but his continuous, eclectic movement on stage between instruments and tech only adds to the energetic and hyped up dance atmosphere. Plus, he sings at the same time!

If I had to pick the one electronic artist I’ve been telling my friends to listen to most recently, it’d be this one. They’re possibly tired of me bugging them by now, but I’m doing them – and you – a favor.

If you missed his show at the U Street Music Hall last fall, you can catch Robert Delong at the DC101 Kerfuffle on 5/3 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md. Get tickets here.
